Le portfolio de Kyle Thompson

It's been a long time since I've done "le portfolio de...". But I just hadn't found any photographer that I wanted to share here. That was until today when I found Kyle Thompson.
Kyle Thompson is a 21 year old photographer from Chicago. As he claims in his blog, right now he is living in his car while traveling through us/canada. A few years back he was a shy boy from the suburbs of Chicago who went to college and had a job as pizza delivery boy. When he was 19 years old, he dropped out of college to follow his dream. Not a full year later Kyle became a recognized and desired young photographer with a distinct style.
Using himself as the main character in almost all of the shots, for a good shot Kyle’s willing to soak in freezing mud or set his clothes on fire.
He creates fantastic alternative realities full of signs, symbols and deeper meanings. As he says, he feels more like a writer manifesting his thoughts and moods through visual art than a photographer. By looking at Thompson’s photography, you can feel yourself being dragged into his quiet dreamy solitude.*
I especially like his work because of the bizzarness and the beuty that lies in that weirdness. In my opinion he is extremely talented and all of his pictures look really good quality.
 Enjoy, Kamile

Le Portfolio de Tim Walker

Amazing. I truly think so. First when I found Tim Walker I didn't expect to like him so much. But after viewing few of his photographs I just couldn't stop. They are so fairy-tale-ish and  bizarre. Fairy-tales for grown-ups that's the name for it. If you like his work as much as I do be sure to visit his website.

Le Portfolio de Steve McCurry

Today I somehow wandered to a photography website of Steve McCurry and fell in love with his pictures so that's why this time "Le portfolio de.." is not about fashion but life photographer. As his website (where I spent merely two hours today) claims "Steve McCurry has been one of the most iconic voices in contemporary photography for more than 30 years, with scores of magazine and book covers, over a dozen books, and countless exhibitions around the world to his name." I was amazed by his shots, they're all equally amazing but reflect a lot of different feelings. There's happiness and pain, love and hunger, despair and freedom, war and beauty, friendship, disasters and a lot more wonderful and interesting shots from all around the world.

I unconsciously chose to show all the pictures in my blog that haven't got any faces. Don't imagine why I did it. But there's a lot of faces in his website, so check it out!

Le portfolio de Lachlan Bailey

Another photographer that I've found on french vogue and this time it's Lachlan Bailey - a photographer from New York (actually he's living there now, I don't exactly know where is he originally from). His pictures are A LOT different from the ones by David Bellemere I posted here earlier but they still are without argument beautiful. Lachlan Bailey's pictures are very sharp, they're beautiful in a whole different way. The word that repeats in my head the most when I think about his photos is POWERFUL. I think this word really fits his pictures best.

Le portfolio de David Bellemere

Today I found these beautiful pictures made by David Bellemere. What can I say? They are stunning. You can feel the emotions from the shots and he makes it so graceful and incredibly beautiful. Speechless.
