Monday inspiration

Lately was kind of intense. On the weekends I do a lot of great stuff, I meet my friends, I go out a lot, I rest, watch movies and so on. But the other five days of the week are a little nightmare. I'm not getting nearly half the sleep I should  be getting and I am ALWAYS TIRED. The worst part of being tired all the time is that I am always angry with everyone and forget everything. Hell, it's the first day of the week and I was able to forgot to do last week's monday inspiration and almost forgot to do it today. And if I continue to be as angry as the tired me gets, I think my friends will start avoiding me (thank you for bearing me). So today's inspiration is about the thing I need the most right now - RESTING and RELAXING.

Gone with the old, in with the new

With spring came change in my wishes towards this blog. I had grown tired of the old design, so I decided to make the ices move in here. It's like my own personal spring cleaning. I'm already in love with the new header so definitely change is for the best.

Another photographer that I've found on french vogue and this time it's Lachlan Bailey - a photographer from New York (actually he's living there now, I don't exactly know where is he originally from). His pictures are A LOT different from the ones by David Bellemere I posted here earlier but they still are without argument beautiful. Lachlan Bailey's pictures are very sharp, they're beautiful in a whole different way. The word that repeats in my head the most when I think about his photos is POWERFUL. I think this word really fits his pictures best.

Monday inspiration

And I'm back again with what inspires me this week. Today I have to study A LOT because spring break is over so I'll have to go to the uni tomorrow and being lazy and studying nothing the whole past week definitely didn't reduce the amount of work I have to do today. And the thing that helps me the most to live through these hard days is music. Yes, it sounds cheesy but it's true - music is the salvation. Unfortunately about 90% of my music is really melancholic or depressing or just plain sad. I don't know why it is so but I can't help it - I love sad music. So my list of inspiring music will not be very great in numbers (I'm going to share exactly 5 songs here) but it will be my very favourites (despite the fact that it's damn hard to decide your favourite song when there are so many different styles of music that you like).

 

1.Mumford and sons - Dust Bowl dance (the song starts at 0:46 (live versions are always the best ones))

 

2. Snow Patrol - What if the storm ends?  (I somehow like that there's no video here, the black background fits the song)

 

3. Florence and the Machine - Bedroom hymns ( I just love this fan made video)

4. Robyn - Cobrastyle (makes me want to dance)

 

5. Led Zeppelin - Whole lotta love ( the oldies are the best)
